Civcon successfully delivered the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) Road Intersection Upgrade project which included the construction of roads, drainage and traffic lights at two intersections that enter the complex. These intersections are Cockburn Road/ Quill Way (South) and Cockburn Road/ Quill Way (North). The completion of the project has seen the improvement of the performance of the local road network by enhancing traffic flow and increasing road safety.

Civcon’s scope of works included:

• Demolition and earthworks

• Road widening

• Installation of new traffic signals

• Rock excavation

• Drainage construction

• Stone pitching

• New pavement construction including limestone subbase, crushed rock basecourse, prime coat - two coat emuslion seal, and asphalt surfacing.

• Pavement resurfacing including profiling, tack coat, seal and asphalt surfacing

• Electrical and street light pole modifications

• Construction of footpaths, islands, medians with faux brick paving, and kerbs

• Installation of new W-Beam barriers / guardrails and traffic signage

• Landscaping

• Coordination with Western Power and various stakeholders
