As part of the Pipes for Perth program, Civcon was engaged to renew 2.1kms of ageing water main along Beaufort Street between Walcott Street in Mount Lawley and Dundas Road in Inglewood.

The scope of works included:

• Comprehensive site investigations and service location assessments

• Design, manufacture, supply, and installation of 2,140m of DN300 PVC PN16 water main

• Integration with the existing water main network

• Complex traffic management

• Maintaining safe access to adjacent businesses and properties throughout construction

• Pipeline pressure testing, disinfection, and service connection transfers

• Installation of new valve and hydrant markers, and removal of redundant components

• Restoration of roadways, footpaths, and private properties to pre-construction condition

Works were carried out in a three stage approach to minimise traffic impacts and to maximise construction efficiency.
