Civcon was awarded the contract for Stage 1 of the Belmont Park Redevelopment, delivering key civil, services, foreshore, bridge, and landscape works to support the development of six super lots on the racecourse’s south-east side.

The scope of works included:

• Demolition and clearing Works

• Substantial bulk and detailed earthworks involving 150,000 tons of imported fill

• Provision of temporary services to maintain operations for adjacent businesses

• Installation of a 1.4km water distribution main

• Construction of a wastewater pumping station and associated infrastructure, including overflow storage tanks, sewer pressure mains , and gravity sewer

• Drainage construction including 1.7km of drainage pipes , stormwater systems, underground storage, sub-soil drainage and junction pits

• Installation of underground power distribution (HV & LV), NBN communications, and telecommunications

• Installation of drainage, water, sewer, gas, electrical and irrigation reticulation for the new lots

• Construction of limestone and concrete retaining walls (2.2m high), including stairs, ramps, landings and handrails

• New internal roadworks, including 18,000m2 of pavement construction, asphalt works, kerbing and associated traffic furniture

• Bridgeworks for a two-lane divided bridge to MRWA Specifications for a new access point from Victoria Park Drive involving precast T-Roff beams, MSE wall, in situ abutment, parapets installation and balustrading

• Concrete footpaths, pram ramps and tactile indicators

• Riverbank upgrades, including rock revetment works and landscaping
